Extremely smart people typically find it hard to assimilate with average people. After all, common grounds are scare. But, brilliance only makes Tudor Cisu more connected with the rest of the world.
With an IQ level that is capable of solving the Rubik’s cube within 30 seconds, and one that can absorb the complexity of 6 different languages, Tudor Cisu should be a classic picture of a nerd. Believe it or not though, he is a perfectly normal kid. He plays sports like any normal kid and mingles with people easily like he’s nothing special.
He has well-developed people skills which he honed through his years of working with people from all walks of life. In particular, these interpersonal skills were developed during his engagements in civic works.
For several summers since 2004, he spent a few hours off his busy schedule as a volunteer transporter for a hospital in Syracuse. There, he was in touch with patients who have unknowingly contributed to the enhancement of his personality. These skills were further enhanced with his experience in tutoring for four years at Kumon Math and Reading Center where his aptitude in Mathematics and languages helped students who were struggling in these areas.
Clearly, Tudor Cisu is not only brilliant in many things academic, he is also blessed with a well-rounded character that can relate with people from various demographical backgrounds.
Wasting time is certainly something that Tudor Cisu is not good with. This is because this person is always preoccupied with something to do. He is so busy that it is often a wonder how he keeps up with all of his obligations. First, Tudor Cisu is currently taking up Pre – Med. He juggles this with his job as PSAT/SAT instructor as well as a part time tutor for high school students. For most people, this is already quite a load. However, this is not true with Tudor Cisu because in addition to this, he is also shuffling back and forth between two research laboratories in two different schools in his spare times. This is why many people are wondering how he has been doing all of this things and not still be successful in all of it.
Although it would probably be out of place on his research resume, 19 year old Tudor Cisu considers his ability to solve a Rubik’s cube in 30 seconds equally impressive as his other achievements.
Tudor Cisu, who has a double major in Mathematics and Biochemistry, understands a total of six languages (including Latin) and has been winning awards for Mathematics and overall academic excellence since he move to Syracuse, NY in 1998.
His long standing fascination with the Rubik’s cube has also leaded him to gain some experience with other Rubik’s puzzles like the 5×5x5, 6×6x6, and the Rubik’s sphere.
Now a sophomore at Binghamton University, Tudor Cisu plans to start a campus club for competitions and instruction.
And while he may not hold the World Record for solving the Rubik’s cube yet, it can be said that Tudor Cisu has other things on his mind.
Tudor Cisu is indeed a very busy young man. He never wastes his time doing unnecessary things like other young people of his age. At this present time, Tudor Cisu is taking up his studies on Pre – Med. This is even though, he already possess a major in Biochemistry and Mathematics. Aside from that, Tudor Cisu is also undergoing research studies on two different fields in two different laboratories. One of these is at the Beaumont Bioengineering Research Laboratory of Binghamton University while the other is at the Spinal Cord Injury and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory of SUNY Upstate Medical University. However, Tudor Cisu is more admirable because he does all of these things while being a part – time mathematics and reading tutor, a PSAT/SAT instructor and a project aide all at the same time.
